American Odds

Meaning

A price expressed as profit on $100, or stake needed to win $100.

Worked Example

At +150, a $10 win earns $15 profit. At −200, the same stake earns $5 profit.

Common Mix-Up

A negative sign does not mean a negative payout. It changes which amount the notation fixes.
