Rake

Meaning

A charge collected from a poker game, often from pots or through a separate fee.

Worked Example

If a hypothetical $100 pot is reduced by a $5 charge, $95 remains to distribute before any other adjustments.

Common Mix-Up

A rake rule alone does not predict a player’s return. Opponents, decisions, caps and the game structure matter.
