Trace a Payout

Separate Three Amounts

The stake is the money placed at risk. Profit is the extra money from a win. Return is the full amount paid back, including the original stake. Mixing profit with return makes two identical prices appear different.

Follow a Worked Bet

With a $20 stake at +150, profit is $20 × 1.5 = $30. Total return is $20 + $30 = $50. A loss costs $20. The losing outcome is not a $50 loss.

Add Costs to the Right Side

A transaction fee can increase the amount at risk or reduce the payout. Compare the full cash flows and match settlement rules before comparing headline prices. The existing equal-risk fee calculator works through that distinction.
