Composition-dependent optimal play, not a typical-player estimate. Count: Initial hands. Full Bet Profile · Source and Method · Read the Guide → | 0.40% | ~$4.03 |
Blackjack · No Double After SplitSame six-deck model, but doubling after a split is not allowed. Extra split and double stakes are reflected in the edge, not in the initial-stakes total. Count: Initial hands. Full Bet Profile · Source and Method · Read the Guide → | 0.54% | ~$5.45 |

The Number Is Only the Start
Same Edge. Different Outcomes.
Single-zero roulette has the same average cost on red/black and a single number. That doesn’t make the experience the same.
Explore the Outcomes ↗Model Notes
The comparison holds initial stake and number of bets constant. It does not model a fixed bankroll, time at the table or stopping early. Blackjack’s edge includes the consequences of splitting and doubling; their extra stakes are not included in the displayed initial-stakes total.
For multi-roll craps bets, a bet can span several rolls. Baccarat ties and don’t-pass come-out pushes count. Roulette assumes independent, equally likely pockets. Different rules require different numbers.
Roulette
With standard payouts, the edge is zero pockets ÷ total pockets: 1/37 or 2/38. Original rules and probability analysis.
Craps
Pass: 7/495. Don’t pass with a come-out 12 push: 3/220. Field with double payouts on 2 and 12: 1/18. Any seven paying 4 to 1: 1/6. Original probability tables.
Baccarat
Eight-deck outcome counts determine banker, player and tie probabilities. Expected returns apply a 5% banker commission, even-money player payout and 8-to-1 tie payout. Original eight-deck analysis.
Blackjack
Rates use the stated six-deck, stand-on-soft-17 composition-dependent analysis. The source reports −0.004026 with double after split and −0.005445 without it. These are specific mathematical models, not universal blackjack rates. Original combinatorial analysis.
