Meaning

Outcomes where knowing one result does not change the probability of another.

Worked Example

In the ideal roulette model, missing one number repeatedly does not change its 1/37 chance on the next single-zero spin.

Common Mix-Up

This assumption is not a universal rule for card games: cards already removed can change the remaining deck.
